Our Fully Restored 1947 International Harvester Fire Engine. Engine 4 has a 500 GPM Hale pump and carries 500 gallons of water.

One of the primary artifacts of the Eastside Fire Museum is this incredibly restored engine, which has been featured in many events throughout the city. Engineer Michael Fontaine of Warren Station 42 and Engineer Gary Powell of Warren Station 43, spent over 2,000 hours restoring this engine to its amazing 100% operational condition, completing it in April 2003.

The Eastside Fire Museum is a non-profit organization founded in 1999. Located in the Bona Thompson Memorial Building in Irvington EFM houses 70 years of memorabilia, fire equipment, firefighter personal protective equipment, and much more. Our purpose is to educate the public both children and adults in township fire department history, fire prevention and fire safety. Our mobile outreach presentation includes our Hallmark a fully restored 1947 fire engine which to date has participated in local St. Patrick’s Parade, Carmel 4th of July Parade, Riley Days, Lowell Little League, Irvington Street Fairs and various corporate and educational events.

Moving forward we are developing a Mobile Out Reach Exhibit, Personal Emergency Contact and Prescription Information Program for Seniors and an Interactive Children’s Program.
